Arsenal have stern tests ahead of them this summer as they seek to rebuild their squad following another disappointing campaign, where any new additions will be immediately tested by some of Europe’s elite.

The Gunners’ pre-season opponents at the International Champions Cup in Singapore have been announced, handing the north London giants clashes against Atletico Madrid and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Atletico, who Arsenal face twice over the next two weeks in the semi-finals of the Europa League, look set to finish runners-up to Barcelona in La Liga whilst PSG have continued their dominance on French football this term.

The pre-season tournament will see the three sides face off against each other over the course of four days in July.

It comes as part of a global feast of football, where 18 clubs will play around 27 matches in the United States, Europe and Singapore in the sixth addition of the tournament.

This year, there will be one global champion rather than individual champions for each continent, with other teams confirmed to play fixtures across the globe, including five other Premier League sides- Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea.
