Arsenal may face a stern battle to keep their squad intact this summer, as interest in a number of their prized assets is rising heading into the final months of the Premier League campaign.
The Gunners are poised to lose Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla as things stand, with the midfield duo edging ever closer to the end of their contracts, but there’s also concerns regarding the long-term future of Aaron Ramsey.
27-year-0ld Ramsey sees his contract at the Emirates Stadium expire in the summer of 2019 and there are growing fears that the Welsh international could push for an exit, which is raising the possibility of a sale this summer so that Arsenal receive funds for his services.
If Ramsey was to leave, a stay in the Premier League is likely and The Daily Star states Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to bring the experienced midfielder to Old Trafford- which would hand Arsenal another major blow.
Arsene Wenger’s side lost Alexis Sanchez to the Red Devils in January and losing Ramsey, another player in the prime years of his career, would be disastrous for the club- particularly with the depth in midfield being significantly lacking.
