Arsenal fans have had to endure a number of blows during the past decade, including a period where the Gunners consistently lost their captains to rivals across Europe.

It all began in 2005, the final season before moving to the Emirates Stadium, where Patrick Vieira was lured to Juventus. In the years that followed, Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas moved to Barcelona and Robin Van Persie was lured to Manchester United.

Fabregas is of course now back in the Premier League with Chelsea, where he has won two league titles, and the image of the former Arsenal favourite lifting those honours across London is haunting to Gooners across the world.

However, it seems that we could see the Spaniard back at Arsenal in the future as he’s opened the door to taking a coaching role in north London later down the line, when answering a fan’s question on Twitter.

Fabregas featured in 212 Premier League matches for the Gunners, scoring 35 goals, but never lifted a trophy during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
