Arsenal are braced for a major departure in the summer transfer window with the news that a fan favourite has seen discussions regarding a new deal hit brick wall.
The Sun states that Jack Wilshere is ready to quit Arsenal at the end of the season when his current contract comes to an end, as talks regarding a new deal have broken down- and the England international is unhappy with the progress of discussions.
Wilshere has fought off numerous injury problems to become an established member of Arsenal’s first-team squad once again but his future remains in doubt due to the contract situation, with it now appearing that he’ll be on the move.
It’s indicated that the two parties are miles apart in negotiations, with Wilshere’s demands not being met by the Gunners- and it’s leading to the possibility of a major recruitment drive in midfield.
Arsenal also see the contract of Santi Cazorla come to a close this summer and the veteran, plagued by injuries, is also unlikely to renew- whilst the sale of Francis Coquelin in January has already seen depth within the squad decrease/
