Arsenal face a stern battle this summer to keep hold of Jack Wilshere, who is yet to sign a new contract with the club and is set to be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The Gunners are desperate for the England international to remain at the Emirates Stadium but their contract offer, reportedly less than Wilshere’s current deal, is bonus orientated due to the player’s long-term injury issues.

Wilshere isn’t happy with that and has no shortage of suitors, with Everton and Juventus recently linked with Arsenal’s academy graduate, but interest has also emerged from AC Milan- and SportsWitness cites reports claiming this is due to his performances in the Europa League.

Arsenal knocked Milan out of European football following victory over two-legs, where Wilshere played a central role, and it’s understood that boss Gennaro Gattuso was impressed by the midfielder’s performance- now believing he could excel in his side.

However, Wilshere is more than likely to remain in the Premier League if he does leave Arsenal this summer and AC Milan will have to offer a very tempting deal to change that.
