Arsenal are set for a major rebuild this summer but will have to fight tooth and nail to keep some of their stars at the club, amidst growing uncertainty regarding the future’s of some of their squad.
Jack Wilshere, Per Mertesacker and Santi Cazorla both see their contracts draw to a close this summer, whilst there’s growing concerns that Aaron Ramsey could leave on a free transfer in 2019- and there’s another player who could also leave for nothing next year.
Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson has earned a stellar reputation behind the scenes in north London but his future remains up in the air as he currently has under 18 months remaining on his deal, with a number of European giants keeping tabs.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Monaco have made Nelson their prime target for this summer, as they seek to find a capable replacement for Kylian Mbappe- who excelled with the French principality side last season before joining Paris Saint-Germain on-loan, with a deal being made permanent at the end of the season.
Nelson has earned numerous first-team opportunities this season but remains on the fringes, which could lead him to consider his future due to the wealth of competition he faces for chances in the attacking third.
The additions of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan may have also provided an impact in that aspect.
