Jack Wilshere’s future at remains up in the air, with no progress regarding an extension being made, but the England has already infuriated one interested party.

The Sun states that Spanish side Real Betis believes that used their reported interest in order to push for better terms at Arsenal, with the Seville outfit instead having little chance of signing the experienced midfielder.

Betis believed that was interested in a move to and made an approach to the 26-year-old last summer, hoping to sign a pre-contractual agreement with the England in January, but the club’s hierarchy are furious with a lack of progress.

They now believe that used their interest to push for better terms in renewal talks with Arsenal, which have since reached a stalemate, though have an offer on the table for Wilshere to consider.

An issue is the fact is being asked to take a pay-cut at the Stadium, which the injury-plagued midfielder isn’t happy about.
