Arsenal are looking to significantly rejuvenate their squad in a number of areas this summer and it could lead to revived interest in some of the club’s long-term targets.

The Gunners are reportedly in the market for a defensive midfielder to bolster their options in the middle of the park, as part of an overhaul that could see both Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere leave for nothing this summer.

Arsenal have long been stated to hold interest in Sevilla’s French international Steven N’Zonzi but the Gunners now risk missing out in the chase for the former Stoke City man, as a European giant are eyeing a swoop.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo state Juventus are willing to pay N’Zonzi’s £26m release-clause, whilst Barcelona are also interested in the player but are unlikely to match that figure after signing Brazilian starlet Artur from Gremio.

A figure in that region is certainly affordable for Arsenal and fans would certainly question why the Gunners didn’t make a move if the 29-year-old secures a move to Turin this summer.
