Arsenal face a stern battle on their hands in the quest to keep hold of a prized asset, amidst growing interest in the services of Jack Wilshere.
The England international sees his current deal with the Gunners come to a close this summer and there is no sign of a progression in talks between the two parties, which increases the likelihood of a summer departure for Arsenal’s academy graduate.
Now, The Daily Express report that Italian giants AC Milan have expressed an interest in the central midfielder after his performance against them at the San Siro last week, where Arsenal secured a 2-0 advantage in the first-leg of their Europa League showdown.
Arsenal will be concerned by the fact that they’re helpless to stop Milan from making a move immediately, as Wilshere is able to talk to club’s outside of the Premier League regarding a pre-contractual deal- which would then see him move on a free transfer this summer.
The north London side are also set to lose veteran midfielder Santi Cazorla, who also sees his contract expire this summer and has been plagued with injury problems in recent years, whilst there is also concern that Aaron Ramsey could leave on a free in 2019.
