Atletico Madrid are set to raid Arsenal this summer should Antoine Griezmann join Barcelona over the summer.
The French forward has reportedly attracted interest from Barcelona who are looking to add to their squad for next season.
Atletico look resigned to losing the services of Griezmann who has a release clause of £88million which will come into effect on July 1.
And according to El Gol Digital, Atletico have identified Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette as their top target to replace Griezmann.
The 26-year-old joined Arsenal from Lyon last summer. Yet despite the fact that he has managed to score nine goals in 26 Premier League appearances thus far, the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund in January has cast doubt over Lacazette’s future at Arsenal.
Lacazette was set to join Atletico from Lyon last summer before Arsenal swooped in after FIFA upheld the La Liga club’s transfer ban.
However, with the transfer ban lifted and Griezmann’s departure from Atletico likely this summer, Lacazette may have another chance of joining the Spanish giants.
