Arsenal face a major battle this summer to improve their underperforming side and look set to fight a host of rival Premier League clubs in the transfer market.

One player widely linked with a move to England this summer is Napoli’s Jorginho, who has attracted interest from Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool after superb performances for the Serie A title-chasing side.

The Italian international represented his nation against England this week at Wembley and spoke to Football Italia after the game, where he was asked if he liked England and the Premier League. Responding to the question, he replied:

“Yes, very much!”

Whilst it’s hardly a come-and-get-me plea, it does at least show that the 26-year-old would be open to a move to England if the opportunity arose but Napoli are desperate to keep hold of the midfielder, reportedly demanding as much as £50m for his services.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal would meet that price but the rivalry on the market from fellow Premier League sides presents an issue.
