Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur look set to take their rivalry to the transfer market, as it’s reported the two north London sides will go toe-to-toe for the services of a highly-rated talent.
Turkish Football claims representatives from the two Premier League sides have been in attendance at Trabzonspor recently, keeping tabs on 18-year-old talent Abulkadir Omur- who has been compared to a young Lionel Messi.
Already regarded as one of the most exciting prospects to emerge from Turkish football for a number of years, and earning praise from Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, Omur has caught the eye with his performances on the continent this season.
The midfielder has made 20 appearances for his side in the Turkish league this season, scoring two goals and contributing four assists to a side sat sixth in the standings.
Omur’s signature is now sought after across the continent and he’s likely to be a key feature of Turkey’s national side after this summer’s World Cup, which the European nation failed to qualify for.
