Arsenal return to Premier League action this evening with a stern test against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium, just days after losing 3-0 to the Citizens in the Carabao Cup final.

Pep Guardiola’s side have established themselves as runaway leaders in the Premier League this season, boasting a 13 point advantage at the top, whilst Arsenal head into tonight’s game 10 points behind the top-four.

The odds are certainly stacked against the Gunners this evening, especially as Arsenal have remarkably already lost six matches in 2018- including three of their last four games across all competitions.

However, Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has made a bold prediction ahead of tonight’s game as he’s backed the Gunners to inflict revenge upon the Citizens following the cup final defeat just days ago. Speaking to Sky Sports, he said:

“You never know what team is going to turn up. I wouldn’t put it past them to beat Man City on Thursday. That’s the kind of team they are.”

Victory tonight would see Arsenal move five points behind fifth-placed Chelsea, ahead of a clash against Brighton on Sunday.
