Arsenal’s summer activity could be heavily influenced by this summer’s World Cup in Russia, where a number of players could make a name for themselves on a global scale.

A host of highly-rated talents will head into this summer’s tournament looking to improve their standing on the world stage, after impressing at club level, and German outfit RB Leipzig are hoping that it strengthens their negotiating position when it comes to one star man.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato report that Juventus are keen on Swedish international Emil Forsberg, although the defending Serie A title chasers are said to trail Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the race for his services.

Arsenal reportedly want to sign the 26-year-old as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who moved to Premier League rivals Manchester United in January, but RB Leipzig don’t want to sell- and will hope that the World Cup drives up his price if they are forced to part ways.

Forsberg, for the record, is said to be unhappy with the top-four chasing Bundesliga side and is keen to complete a transfer away from the club this summer.
