Arsenal are set for a major summer as they seek to significantly rejuvenate their ranks and the Gunners are set for wholesale in midfield, where a number of changes could be on the cards.

Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere are both poised to see their contracts in north London expire, with it being increasingly likely that the pair will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The club are keen to keep the former at the Emirates Stadium but The Mirror states Arsenal have made their final contract offer to the England international and are now refusing to budge.

Arsenal want the 26-year-old to accept a pay cut on his current deal, offering a contract that is less in a weekly wage but one that is heavily incentivised with bonuses, although Wilshere is keen to have a higher assured wage as he believes he’s proved his worth this season.

Wilshere has struggled with consistent injury issues during recent seasons but has seemingly turned a corner this campaign, making 31 appearances for Arsenal, although he’s due to miss England’s friendly clash with Holland due to a knee injury.
