Arsenal have significantly bolstered their attacking lines during the course of the past 12 months, signing Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on club-record deals.
However, it’s suggested that the Gunners quest to assemble a super-squad of world class strikers is not over yet, as another name has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo state that the agent of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, Pini Zahavi, has been discussing a potential transfer with a number of top European sides- and Arsenal are amongst them.
29-year-old Lewandowski has established himself as one of Europe’s deadliest strikers in recent years and Real Madrid are said to be leading the chase for the services of the Polish striker, issuing a blow to Arsenal.
However, given the depth Arsenal boast in the final third, it’s highly unlikely that the Gunners would eye a move for the established striker and it’s more likely that Arsenal will look to spend heavily in other areas of the squad.
