Arsenal are widely reported to be looking to rejuvenate their options between the sticks this summer, after a number of less than stellar performances from Petr Cech this season.

The 36-year-old has seen his form decline dramatically over the past year and Arsenal’s new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has a successor to the veteran as one of his top priorities for the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid’s Slovenian international Jan Oblak is said to be at the top of Arsenal’s shortlist but major competition for the 26-year-old’s signature is present, as The Daily Express state Chelsea have joined the hunt.

Chelsea, at risk of missing out on a top-four finish alongside Arsenal, are concerned that Thibaut Courtois could be lured away from Stamford Bridge this summer amid reports that suggest Real Madrid want to make a swoop.

The Blues have close ties with Atletico, with Courtois having spent two-seasons on-loan in the Spanish capital and Diego Costa sealing a return to the club last summer, which could hand them the edge in negotiations.
