Arsenal are set for major changes this summer and a host of activity could be completed in their midfield ranks, due to a wealth of uncertainty surrounding the futures of a number of Gunners stars.
Crocked Spaniard Santi Cazorla sees his contract come to a close at the end of the season, with it being unlikely he’ll earn a fresh deal, and Jack Wilshere also finds himself in the same boat- although Arsenal want him to renew.
Welsh star Aaron Ramsey has also entered the final 18 months of his contract, with many amongst the club’s hierarchy fearing he could push for an exit, and it leaves the Gunners with work to do in recruitment to bolster this area.
One player heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium is Watford’s Abdoulaya Doucoure, although The Mirror states that the battle for the powerful Hornets midfielder continues to become more difficult.
Arsenal are joined in the hunt for Doucoure’s signature by Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, whilst the latest reports also state that Manchester United have also expressed an interest.
