Arsenal face a huge test ahead this summer as they seek to to rebuild their underperforming squad, following another disappointing campaign that is set to see the Gunners miss out on a top-four finish in the Premier League.
The north London side have shown a willingness to change in recent windows, breaking the club-record transfer twice to bring Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in from Lyon and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
Arsenal still have work to do in their ranks though and it’s widely reported that the Gunners will seek to improve their midfield ranks this summer, with one of those being linked with a move being Udinese’s Jakub Jankto.
Now, as stated to RMC Sport, Jankto’s agent Giuseppe Riso has confirmed that the Gunners are interested in his client- and it’s likely that Arsenal will make a move this summer.
“They are certainly contenders. Jankto is an important player. We decided with the Pozzo family not to talk about this question in January; to allow him to develop and mature.”
“Milan and Arsenal are teams who keep an eye on young players, so we will certainly talk about it [in the summer].”
The 22-year-old is already experienced within his national side, earning ten senior appearances with the Czech Republic.
