Welbeck & Iwobi lack confidence
With consistent injury problems affecting him, last night was the golden opportunity for Danny Welbeck to push himself back into the limelight- especially with Alexandre Lacazette injured and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cup-tied in Europe.
Instead, it was a performance to forget for the former Manchester United man as it was clear he lacked confidence, missing a number of golden opportunities, and the same can be said for Nigerian starlet Alex Iwobi.
He’s established himself as a regular feature of the Arsenal first-team, and could start in the League Cup final this weekend, but has lost his form in the final third and needs to find his confidence again. Last night was a chance for that to happen but he missed that opportunity.
