Juventus are weighing up a move for Arsenal midfielder , according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website reports that the champions are looking at targets in central midfield positions, and the 25 year old’s name has cropped up as a potential option.

The fact that is available on a free in the summer is likely the primary reason for Juve’s interest in the player.

The England has yet to agree terms with Arsenal over a contract extension despite only having five months remaining on his current deal.

The Sun report that want to cut his £90,000 a week wages, and offer more performance related bonuses, because of his poor injury record. are however also sensing an opportunity to sign the central midfield player on a free transfer.
