Arsenal will not have a clear run to sign Benfica winger Andrija Zivkovic, according to TMW.
Reports over the weekend indicated that the Gunners had scouted the Serbian international for the second time in two weeks, but it seems they will have competition from eight other teams for the £52.5m rated midfielder.
Italian website TMW report that four Italian clubs: Juventus, AC Milan, Torino and Sampdoria, as well as Manchester United, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla, have all entered the running.
It is somewhat surprising that Zivkovic is in such high demand considering he hasn’t been a regular starter for Benfica this season.
The 21 year old has only started ten games this campaign, and has just returned to first team action in the last few weeks. He has also been playing out of position since his recall by manager Rui Vitoria.
Zivkovic has been employed as a central midfielder in the club’s last two league games, but after scoring in the 3-1 win over Portimonense on Saturday, it seems he is adapting well to the new role.
