Racing Club have rejected a €20million offer from Inter Milan for striker Lautaro Martinez, according to TyC Sports.
A whole host of European clubs have been after the 20 year old. Arsenal were confirmed as one of the interested parties by Martinez’s agent at the start of last year, but other teams such as Inter, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool have all since edged ahead of the Gunners.
Martinez has been in excellent form for Racing Club this campaign, scoring seven goals in eight appearances since his return to action after a lengthy spell out with a broken foot.
TyC Sports suggest that Inter will remain in talks to sign the Argentinian Under 20 international, and the TV station believe that Racing Club are seeking a higher offer, with the previous bid being heavily dependent on performance bonuses.
Reports suggest that Martinez could get his first call up for Argentina’s senior side for the friendlies against Spain and Italy next month.
