Sevilla have beaten Arsenal to the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports in Italy.

Italian website GianlucaDiMarzio.com believes that the La Liga club have agreed a loan deal for the Croatian international. They will pay €1m up front, with a purchase option of €28m (£24.6m) at the end of the season.

Brozovic is said to be now deciding over whether a move to Sevilla is right for him. With the transfer window closing at 11pm local time tonight, the 25 year old only has a matter of hours to make up his mind.

The attacking midfielder has been on Arsenal’s radar for a number of years. He was first linked with a transfer to the Emirates back in 2014 when he was still a Dinamo Zagreb player.

Brozovic subsequently moved to Inter on an initial 18 month loan deal three years ago before making his move to the San Siro permanent in July 2016.

The Croatian has been a bit part player under manager Luciano Spalletti this season, having made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
