have stepped up their pursuit of striker Pietro Pellegri, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reports that Arsenal, and are among the top European clubs looking to sign the teenager, but Juve are looking to beat their rivals to his signature.

The Bianconeri are said to have enquired about Pellegri’s availability when played on Monday evening.

The club’s sporting director Giorgio Perinetti reportedly told Juve that the club were looking to start the bidding at €30m (£26m) plus bonuses for the 16 year old.

are believed to want to sell the forward in the summer but Juventus’s plan would be to buy the Italian U19 international this month, and then send the player back on for 6-18 months.

Juve are said to have held talks with Pellegri’s agent yesterday to advance negotiations. Whether they will succeed in signing the player in January, we will have to wait and see.
