Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has intimated to AC Milan that he is open to a January switch to the San Siro, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The 28 year old wants to play regular first team football for the rest of the season in order to have a chance of making England’s squad for the World Cup, and is willing to go out on loan to make sure he is in contention.

Everton and Southampton are also interested in Walcott but the forward has made it known that his preferred destination would be Milan due to the stature and size of the club.

The player is now waiting for a response from the Rossoneri about whether the Serie A club will approach the Gunners with a bid. The Corriere Dello Sport report that the offer would be a straightforward loan deal with no purchase option or obligation to buy at the end of the season.
