Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will turn down interest from the likes of Marseille and AC Milan in order to stay at the Emirates, according to the Sun.

The 25 year old can speak to foreign clubs about signing on a free transfer in the summer, but the England international is said to be determined to remain with the Gunners and earn a new contract.

Wilshere has six months left on his current deal, and even just a short time ago, he looked destined for the exit door at the Emirates.

The midfielder has however started the last six league matches, and seems to have convinced Arsene Wenger he is deserving to stay at the club.

The Frenchman was reportedly willing to let Wilshere leave after a poor season on loan at Bournemouth, which resulted in another long term injury. The playmaker has however performed very well over the Christmas period, impressing Wenger with his drive and determination to turn his career around.
