Arsenal will not be able to recall Lucas Perez from his loan spell at Deportivo La Coruna, according to El Des Marques.

The Spanish news portal says that reports that the Gunners have a clause to terminate the loan agreement in January are wide of the mark, and that there is no way for the striker to return to the Emirates this month.

It is believed that Depor agreed a straightforward season long loan deal which expires on 30th June 2018. There is no purchase option in the agreement and Perez will be an Arsenal player once again on the 1st July, but he will not return before that date.

El Des Marques also asked sources close to the player whether they were aware of any such termination clause, and they received a swift denial.

Perez has not been in the best of form since his return to Deportivo in the summer. The 29 year old has scored just five times in 17 games for the La Liga club this season.
