The Gunners reportedly have a £1.5m buyback clause on the Brazilian although it is not known whether such a deal is still in place. In the summer, Arsenal were said to have activated their buyback option in order for the London club to make a profit on the 24 year old’s move to Bordeaux.
Wellington however failed a medical, and no deal eventually materialised, with the winger continuing to play for Fluminense instead. Now with Internacional involved, it will be interesting to see what the Gunners do this time round.
Bordeaux were reportedly prepared to pay £3m for the former Brazilian under 17 international, and it will likely depend on whether Internacional are willing to pay the same or more in order for Arsenal to consider involving themselves in the transfer deal once again.
