Real Betis are hopeful that Arsenal’s interest in Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi will allow Jack Wilshere to make the move to Spain, according to El Gol Digital.
The La Liga club have been heavily linked with the 25 year old over the past few months, with Betis manager Quique Setien said to be keen to incorporate the England international into the heart of his midfield.
Wilshere’s contract will expire at the end of the season and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that an offer will be made to the midfielder before the end of the month. The player has however called on the club to make a decision over his future as soon as possible.
For his part N’Zonzi has denied he has been in contact with Arsenal since he has been in London. The Frenchman was allowed to visit his son who lives in the capital, after failing to make the squad for Sevilla’s game against Maribor tonight.
