Sevilla are considering a January bid for Benfica winger Andrija Zivkovic, according to A Bola.

The Portuguese publication reports that the Serbian international could be one of the Spanish club’s targets next month, but a final decision over an offer for the player will be made once a new manager is put in place.

The La Liga club sacked Eduardo Berizzo after a 3-1 defeat to Real Sociedad last Wednesday, and his successor will determine whether a move for Zivkovic will be made.

Serbian news outlet Mozzart Sport reported last week that Arsenal were continuing to monitor the 21 year old’s progress at Benfica. However, the Gunners may not just have to contend with Sevilla in the race to sign the right sided midfielder. Valencia are also said to be in the mix.

It could well be the case that Benfica are willing to sell Zivkovic. The Serbian has played just 38 times since his arrival from Partizan Belgrade 18 months ago, and he has been used sparingly by manager Rui Vitoria this campaign, having started just seven games in all competitions.
