Arsenal and are interested in midfielder Ruben Neves, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Portuguese was signed by the Championship side for £15.8million from Porto only in July, and has been an integral player in the club’s rise to the top of the table.

Neves switch to in the summer came as a surprise with Liverpool, and other teams having been interested in the 20 year old, but the influence of his agent was reportedly the reason he made the move to instead.

Mendes has played a important role in bringing in a number of players to Wolves, and he is believed to have good relations with the Championship team’s Chinese owners.

However, Neves’s ambitions are likely to be set higher than playing in the the second tier of English football. The midfielder was a regular for Porto last season, while he has four caps for Portugal, and a switch to the would no doubt take his interest.
