Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Portuguese international was signed by the Championship side for £15.8million from Porto only in July, and has been an integral player in the club’s rise to the top of the table.

Neves switch to Wolves in the summer came as a surprise with Liverpool, Chelsea and other teams having been interested in the 20 year old, but the influence of his agent Jorge Mendes was reportedly the reason he made the move to Molineux instead.

Mendes has played a important role in bringing in a number of players to Wolves, and he is believed to have good relations with the Championship team’s Chinese owners.

However, Neves’s ambitions are likely to be set higher than playing in the the second tier of English football. The midfielder was a regular for Porto last season, while he has four caps for Portugal, and a switch to the Premier League would no doubt take his interest.
