Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi may have played his last game for the club, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The French international was not included in the squad for tomorrow’s Champions League group stage game against Maribor, and manager Eduardo Berizzo has confirmed the player is not currently playing due to “technical issues.”

Rumours have suggested that the 28 year old was flying to London for talks with either Arsenal or Everton about a potential transfer but Berizzo revealed that N’Zonzi was given permission to visit his son as he wasn’t involved in tomorrow’s match. He also confirmed that Sevilla have not received any bids for the midfielder (who has a £35m release clause), but he would remain out of the side for the time being:

“There aren’t any offers to sign N’Zonzi. I can’t talk about clauses or prices if we don’t have an offer. We respect the decision of our coaches, he is training with the team but currently he isn’t playing.”

The Frenchman reportedly left the stadium after being substituted at half time in Sevilla’s 3-3 draw with Liverpool last month and has not played a single minute of first team action since then.
