Barcelona will look to challenge Arsenal for CSKA Moscow playmaker Aleksandr Golovin, according to Marca.

The Catalan giants reportedly have five names on their wishlist for the January transfer window, with Mesut Ozil, Max Meyer and two other Gunners targets: Nabil Fekir and Leon Goretzka, also being targeted.

Golovin has been on Arsenal’s radar for a number of months. In November, football agent Sandor Varga confirmed he had been scouting the attacking midfielder on Arsene Wenger’s behalf, while a move was also mooted in the summer.

The Russian international was then linked by the Sun earlier this month with a move to Chelsea, who were said to be considering a £15m offer for the player.

Barca’s interest meanwhile was hinted at back in November when Catalan newspaper Sport reported that the club’s technical director Robert Fernandez had been spotted watching the 21 year old in action for CSKA in a Champions League match against Basel.

Golovin has been in relatively good form this campaign, having scored three goals and provided four assists in 28 appearances.
