Arsenal will revive their move for West Brom defender Jonny Evans when the transfer window opens next month, according to the Mirror.
The Gunners attempted to sign the 29 year old with a deadline day bid of £25m back in August, but the offer was turned down by the Baggies at the time.
The former Manchester United defender was also pursued by Manchester City, and it seems the centre back is “interested” in leaving the Hawthorns if another bid from a big Premier League club is received in January.
West Brom are struggling at the wrong end of the table after sacking Tony Pulis and appointing Alan Pardew to stop the rot. The new Baggies manager does want to hold talks with Evans regarding his future, but the Mirror believes the defender is open to leaving.
Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen to strengthen his back line after making a three man defence his preferred system. As he is left footed, Evans would likely play on the left of the three, as an alternative to Nacho Monreal, or possibly as the middle centre half.
