Manchester City will offer €32m (£28m) for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, according to Transfer Market Web.

Reporter Claudio Colla says that City remain keen on the 29 year old despite failing to secure the signing of the Chilean international in the summer, and the club will offer the player a three and a half year deal, worth £12million a season (approximately£231,000 a week).

At his pre-match press conference yesterday, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger denied that any club have made an approach for Sanchez. He was quoted by the Mirror as saying:

“We have not been approached by anyone. Other than that I stand by what I have said before.”

The Chilean’s contract expires in the summer where he would be able to join Pep Guardiola’s side on a free transfer. Arsenal will have to weigh up whether selling the forward to a rival in January is worth the risk, or hope that a club like Paris Saint-Germain could enter the fray for the player, and allow him to move abroad instead.
