Liverpool have joined Arsenal and Inter Milan in scouting Novara striker Alessio Da Cruz, according to Gazzamercato.it.
Reports in Italy last week suggested that Inter had sent scouts to watch the former Dutch under 18 international, but it seems that they have been joined by the Merseyside club and the Gunners, who sent representatives to watch him play against Empoli on Saturday, alongside the sporting directors of Cagliari and Genoa.
Da Cruz played 82 minutes of the 1-1 draw before being substituted for Moutir Chajia. He had scored in his previous match against Venezia in a 3-1 win but he couldn’t add to the five goals he has scored this season, against the Azzurri.
Ostensibly a left winger whilst playing in the Netherlands, the 20 year old has played in a more central role since making the free transfer move from FC Twente in the summer to play for Novara in Serie B.
The move certainly looks to be paying off for the Dutchman, considering the number of scouts watching him in action at the weekend.
