Fenerbahce are still hopeful of signing Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, according to Aksam.
The Turkish newspaper reports that the England international is one of the Super Lig side’s main transfer priorities and they will do all they can to persuade the 25 year old into signing for them.
Wilshere’s current deal with the Gunners expires in the summer but manager Arsene Wenger has indicated that a new contract could be offered to the player in December before the transfer window opens.
The central midfielder has gradually been reintegrated into the first team squad over the past few months, following his recovery from a broken leg he sustained whilst out on loan at Bournemouth last season.
Wilshere’s playing time had been restricted to outings in the Europa League, but he has featured as a substitute in two of Arsenal’s last three league games, providing an assist for Aaron Ramsey in the 5-2 win over Everton last month.
