Talks between Galatasaray and Barcelona have resumed over a loan deal for Arda Turan, according to Diario Gol.

The Turkish playmaker has been heavily linked with Arsenal over the past year but there has been no concrete information about an offer from the Gunners with most of the reports of their interest coming from either Spain or Turkey.

Arda is effectively in limbo at Barca with the 30 year old not part of manager Ernesto Valverde’s first team plans. He has not played a single minute this campaign, but Diario Gol report that the midfielder is in no rush to leave.

The former Atletico Madrid player is said to be happy sitting on his contract at the Camp Nou, with his current deal expiring in 2020. The Turkish international also reportedly rejected an offer from the Chinese Super League in the summer as he is happy living in Catalonia.

A return to Galatasaray is still a possibility but the Turkish club are unwilling to pay all of the players’ wages as part of a loan deal. In a bid to break the impasse however, Arda’s agent Ahmed Bulut will have meetings in the next couple of days with Barca’s management.
