Four of the Premier League’s top six are now chasing Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka, according to the Mirror.
The German international’s contract expires at the end of the season, and Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all reportedly registered their interested in the 22 year old, but it seems Manchester City have also now entered the race.
Goretzka will be able to talk to prospective clubs in January about a free transfer at the end of the season, and he will also be pursued by the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Last week, Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff seemingly let slip that the German was heading to the Premier League next year, which would suggest that the four English teams pursuing the midfielder are the likeliest to sign him.
Goretzka has been in excellent form for Schalke so far this campaign, having scored four goals and provided one assist in ten matches.
