The Sun are reporting that Real Betis have made contact with Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere’s agent about making the switch to Spain.
The La Liga club are said to be confident of persuading the 25 year old into making the move abroad with Betis manager Quique Setien hopeful that a fresh start away from the Gunners could be seen as an attractive proposition for the England international.
Wilshere is still not a first team regular under manager Arsene Wenger despite having recovered full fitness from a broken leg he sustained whilst out on loan at Bournemouth last season. The Arsenal boss is however keen to keep the midfielder with the Frenchman having gone on record as saying he is hopeful a new deal can be agreed before the end of December.
The midfielder has however not started a Premier League game since the 4-0 win over Aston Villa in May 2016, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, he could sign a pre-contract agreement with Betis or any other foreign club in January.
