AC Milan and Marseille are both interested in signing Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, according to Haberin Gundemi.

The Turkish news outlet reports that the two clubs are interested in signing the 25 year old on a free transfer at the end of the season, when the player’s contract expires.

Arsenal have been linked with re-signing Ozyakup after originally selling the Turkish international to Besiktas for £500,000 back in 2012. The Gunners still hold a 30% sell-on clause on the midfielder, and this is reportedly why Besiktas has so far failed to offer the playmaker a new contract.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman reportedly held talks with Arsenal in order to offer a financial settlement to remove the clause, but the Gunners refused, leading to the stand off between the player and his club.

The Super Lig side now risk losing Ozyakup for nothing with Milan and Marseille having seemingly entered the race for the Turkish star.
