Representatives of Celtic striker Moussa Dembele have met with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique to discuss the possibility of the Frenchman returning to the Ligue One club, according to Le Parisien (via Le10 Sport).
Dembele came through the academy at PSG before joining Fulham in 2012. His performances over the past 18 months for Celtic have linked him with a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, but the 21 year old is said to be considering a switch back to France.
PSG face Celtic in the Champions League tonight, and Le Parisien report that Henrique took the opportunity to discuss Dembele’s future with his entourage. Talking to the newspaper, a close friend of Dembele’s was quoted as saying the forward would only move if there were some guarantees over first team football:
“He will leave only for a project that will mark a real progression.”
Since Dembele signed for Celtic on a free transfer in 2016, he has gone on to score 38 goals in 62 appearances with reports suggesting the Scottish champions value him at close to £40m.
