Arsenal may make a move for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, reports Calciomercato.com.
The 29 year old’s contract expires at the end of the season and the Belgian international confirmed that the Gunners did try to sign him prior to his move to Old Trafford four years ago.
The Italian website seems to think that Arsene Wenger remains interested in Fellaini, and will make a move for the player in January with the midfielder available on a free transfer next summer.
The Belgian could still yet remain at United, with manager Jose Mourinho hailing the midfielder as “amazing” after returning from injury early to come on as a substitute in the 1-0 loss to Chelsea.
Valencia and Besiktas are two other teams that have been named as potential destinations for Fellaini, with the Sun reporting yesterday that the Spanish side see the midfielder as a perfect fit, and are keen to sign up the player to a pre-contract agreement.
