Nice central midfielder Jean Michael Seri has confirmed he was contacted by Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, and says he is still interested in a move to the French club.
The Ivory Coast international was close to a move to Barcelona before the move stalled in August, and had been linked to Arsenal on numerous occasions prior to Barca’s interest.
Speaking to French newspaper Le Parisien (translated by the Sun), Seri revealed he is still open to a transfer away from Nice, with PSG being a club he would consider:
“Yes, there have been [contacts], especially with the [PSG] sports director Antero Henrique. If I leave Nice, it will be for a team where I feel desired and who play good football. Paris has this philosophy, to which I am very attached. So why not?”
Seri was extremely influential as Nice finished third in Ligue One last season. The 26 year old scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 34 league games. This campaign, the goals have dried up somewhat, with just one in 15 games in all competitions, but he continues to create chances for his team mates with four assists in total so far for his club.
