Manchester United have joined Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain in pursuing Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira, according to the Sun.

Calciomercato.com reported last week that the Gunners had revived their interest in the 26 year old, but it looks like they will now face competition from a Premier League rival for the player’s signature.

The Sun reports that representatives from both Arsenal and United were present as Porto beat Portimonense 3-2 at home in the Portuguese Cup. Danilo would have impressed the Gunners’ scout at the game after scoring the opening goal.

The Portuguese international (who was part of Portugal’s European Championship winning squad), is not known for his goal scoring but he volleyed in the opener from a Alex Telles corner just five minutes into the match.

Danilo’s side were however nearly on the wrong end of a surprise result with Portimonense close to a 2-1 victory before two late goals turned things around for the home side.
