Arsenal are keeping tabs on Novara forward Alessio Da Cruz, according to the Mirror.

The Dutchman only joined the Serie B outfit in the summer from FC Twente but has impressed during his first season in Italian football with five goals and two assists in 14 league games.

Da Cruz is also reportedly on the radar of three other Premier League teams with Brighton & Hove Albion, Swansea City and Southampton also watching the 20 year old’s development.

For Novara this season, the former Dutch under 18 international has played mostly as a striker, but at his previous clubs he has been employed as a winger on either flank.

Da Cruz has played briefly at the top level having managed three games for FC Twente in the Eredivisie but the majority of his matches have been in the Dutch second tier where he played on loan at FC Dordrecht last season. After his loan spell, he then moved to Italy on a free transfer back in July.
