Former Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea defender Alex has revealed that Lucas Moura could be a January transfer target for Arsenal.

The ex centre back played alongside Moura at PSG during the 2013/14 season and he believes that the winger had contact during the summer with the Gunners.

The Brazilian international has made just two substitute appearances since returning from injury in early September, and his former team mate has implored him to move on in the January transfer window, with Arsenal a possible destination. He told L’Equipe (translated by the Mirror):

“I would like to see him at Arsenal. They play cleaner football, more technical. He had contacts, I believe. That would be a good option for him this winter.”

Moura had an outstanding season for PSG last campaign. He scored 19 goals and contrubuted 11 assists in 53 games, but the arrival of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer, combined with tough competition from the likes of Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler and Javier Pastore, means he has hardly featured so far this season.

The 25 year old has spent four and a half years at PSG since arriving from Sao Paulo for £36m in January 2013.
