Arsenal could rival AC Milan for Hoffenheim playmaker Kerim Demirbay, reports Calciomercato.com.
The 24 year old featured for Germany at the Confederations Cup in the summer, scoring in the 3-1 win over Cameroon in the group stages. The midfielder had previously played for Turkey up until the under 21s, but opted to play for the country of his birth at senior level.
Demirbay was part of an extremely impressive Hoffenheim side last season, managed by young manager Julian Nagelsmann. The attacking midfielder made 28 Bundesliga appearances, scoring six goals and providing ten assists. His club were unbeaten in the league until late January last campaign before finishing fourth in the table.
This season has been almost as successful so far, with the club sitting four points off league leaders Borussia Dortmund after eight games played. Demirbay has not been performing quite as well this year with two assists in his first ten matches in all competitions.
