are interested in re-signing Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, according to the Daily Express.

The 28 year old signed for from the Saints for £10m in 2006, and has gone on to make 309 appearances for the club, but may make an attempt in January to bring the international back to the South Coast.

Mauricio Pellegrino’s team are looking for extra firepower to kick start their season, and the Express say they would be prepared to pay £12m – £15m in order to secure Walcott’s signature.

The winger will have eighteen months left on his contract in January, and after having failed to start a single match so far this season, it could be the case that the player’s time at has come to an end.

Walcott was linked with a switch to Milan by earlier this week, and speculation seems to be growing over his future at the club.
